Please join me for a look into this year’s Virtual Georgia Thespian Conference and an opportunity for you to ask questions about upcoming events in our Chapter. The link to the Zoom will be sent to you on Friday.
It’s not too late to register for Virtual ThesCon & Jr ThesCon. Schools not already registered can still register at the $70 per attendee fee until January 12, 2021.
Thespys Deadline coming soon! Don’t be left out of this chance to participate in one of the most exciting parts of Virtual ThesCon- get those Thespys filmed and submitted by 11:59pm on Friday, January 22, 2021. Please see your troupe director email from December for the link and follow the platform guidelines for uploading. It is up to the individual troupe director if you want to send the link for uploading to each of your students or create one account and upload from that account. Videos need to have neutral backgrounds with the best natural/static lighting that you are able to have. Please make sure that your sound is clear and balanced. Please no special effects or editing of these submissions-we would like for them to be as similar to an in person performance/presentation as possible. You may follow school system guidelines for masks, social distancing, etc. and there will be no difference in scoring based on what you need to do to allow your students to film and submit. Please read and follow all guidelines for each type of Thespy/IE that you will be submitting and plan on getting these entries/submissions done as soon as possible in order to avoid issues with uploading at the last minute. Any entries that are not uploaded by the the deadline (1/22/2021) will not be adjudicated and are not eligible for scoring.
