Thespys is an educational program that offers students the opportunity (using the audition approach), to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material and technical designs. The performance events include solo, duet, or group musical, monologue and duo/group acting. In addition, students may also enter design/technical IE/Thespys which allow tech students the opportunity to show and be adjudicated on what they know and display the work they have done.
For the 2024 Junior ThesCon, all Thespys will be adjudicated by video submissions using the OpenWater platform (Due: January 12, 2024).
New this year: There is an UNLIMITED amount of Thespys that can be turned in for each troupe.
The Top 15 Thespys will have a callback IN PERSON on February 24, 2023 (at Jr. ThesCon)
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THESCON IN ORDER TO REGISTER AND PARTICIPATE IN IES/THESPYS.
No refunds can be issued for any reason (this includes missed deadlines and incomplete entry forms or submissions).
