If you have a performance piece that runs between 10 and 20 minutes then consider submitting it for our Freestyle Festival. This is the perfect showcase for student-written works, scene studies, short plays, mime performances, musical theatre dance numbers, puppet shows, and almost anything else that would work well in an intimate setting. We especially hope to showcase student-created works.
The Freestyle Festival is open to any troupe registered for and attending the Georgia Thespian Conference. Performances range from short one-act plays, cuttings from full-length plays or musicals, or reader’s theatre to dance, mime, comedy, drama, improvisation, or stand-up. Intimate, small cast productions, original works, student-written and/or directed works and experimental pieces work well in the Freestyle Festival.
Troupes may enter more than one event, as space allows. To enter Freestyle Festival, complete the entry form and submit the entry(s) along with payment before the deadline.
