Thespys™ is an educational program that offers students the opportunity (using the audition approach) to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material and technical designs. Thespys™ Short Film allows the opportunity for each troupe to enter 1 short film in the animated, documentary, or live action categories. ​

Submission Guidelines

• Short Films must be the original work of up to 16 Thespians to include actors, technicians, writers, and directors. Adaptations will not be considered

• Short Films must be an original animated, documentary, or live- action film no more than five (5) minutes long, plus one (1) additional minute for credits.

• No more than one submission in the animates, documentary, or live action categories per troupe.

• The film should contain no content that would exceed a PG13 rating by the Motion Picture Association of America.

What happened to the Film Festival?

It’s still happening! You can submit to the Film Festival or as a Thespy or both. Check all requirements before submitting as they both have different parameters.
